Producer Ryan Cahill summarises all the podcast bets for the Championship Round of the NFL Playoffs from Rob Pizzola and Drew Dinsick…
Although there are just 3 NFL games to go this season, we have arguably reached the best weekend of the year for football fans.
The best of the NFC & AFC, respectively duke it out on Sunday evening with the coveted prize of a place at Super Bowl LVII on the line.
The Matchbook NFL team were in a jovial mood as ever and if you have not already done so I will urge you to listen as always, especially if you are looking for strong opinions and compelling reasoning.
Even if you’re not a football fan there may be something for you, with the guys giving us a review of Netflix’s new Tennis Documentary “Break Point”!
But if you haven’t got the time, all bets put up on the podcast are summarised below.
Enjoy the penultimate NFL weekend of the season and please do remember to gamble responsibly.

Drew Dinsick’s Championship Round Best Bet
If you have listened to the podcast, you will see how keen Drew was on his best bet this weekend.
The main talking point this week has been Chiefs All-World QB Patrick Mahomes and his injury status.
Drew, although informing us he is not a practicing doctor, was quite optimistic that Mahomes’ injury status has been blown out of proportion.
An excerpt by Drew from our pre-show running order leaves no questioning where his allegiances lie in this one.
“I honestly can’t believe the universe gave us an opportunity to bet Mahomes at home under a FG, not concerned about his injury status”
Recommended Bet: Bengals @ Chiefs -1.5 (2.0)

Rob Pizzola’s Championship Round Best Bet
For Brock Purdy and Jalen Hurts, this is the biggest game of their lives to date, making their first starts in a Championship game.
Both have a litany of offensive talent at their disposal.
But, as Rob alluded to on the podcast, the 49ers have a glaring weakness that the Eagles can exploit.
Rob expects Hurts to target a weak 49ers secondary with the dynamic combo of Devonta Smith and AJ Brown, with a Jalen Hurts scramble or two mixed in for good measure.
Rob is more than willing to back the Eagles to cover the spread at what should be an electric Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday evening.
Recommended Bet: 49ers @ Eagles -2.5 (1.89)
