Football: Premier League Gameweek 29, European & EFL Best Bets

|
6 min

Ryan Cahill is on hand to summarise Miguel Delaney, Adrian Clarke and Mark O’Haire’s best bets from this week’s featured games in the return of our Premier League podcast…

Following on from a packed Premier League midweek slate of fixtures, attention quickly turns toward this weekend with some key fixtures at both ends of the table.

Mikel Arteta’s rampant Arsenal side travel to a not-so-happy hunting ground for them when they meet a stuttering Liverpool side at Anfield, which could have major title ramifications.

The relegation battle is getting intense, with a number of sides sure to be filled with anxiety. Including both Leicester and Bournemouth who meet in a proper 6-pointer at the King Power.

The guys broke down 4 of this weekend’s marquee fixtures, and then as always, we touched on EFL and Europe, rounded off with Long-Shots and Best Bets at the end!

Best of luck if having a bet and enjoy the long-weekend action…

Miguel Delaney’s Best Bet

Miguel expects a cagey affair at Molineux this weekend when Wolves take on the returning Frank Lampard’s Chelsea side.

With Wolves still being a few good results away from feeling comfortable in securing Premier League survival, this could become a tense battle.

With Chelsea being unable to score goals currently, Miguel thinks there is good value in at least one team not putting the ball in the net on Saturday.

Recommended Bet: Wolves vs Chelsea BTTS NO (1.9)

Adrian Clarke’s Best Bet

Adrian’s best bet takes us to Villa Park this weekend, where he is supporting a Villa side in tremendous form currently under Unai Emery.

For Forest, it has been bleak in terms of results for some time now, and Steve Cooper has had to answer questions in regard to his future at the club this week.

Unable to take points away from home, Adrian expects that trend to continue this weekend.

Recommended Bet: ASTON VILLA & UNDER 4.5 V Nottingham Forest (1.94)

Mark O’Haire’s Best Bet

We have heard Mark numerous times this season discuss his under-performing Queens Park Rangers side.

Having led all in the Championship on October 22nd, The R’s since then have found themselves registering 2 wins in 23 games and now are embroiled in a battle for survival.

Mark expects a resurgent Preston side to take advantage and is siding with them on the Asian handicap, meaning a win or draw will result in profit.

Recommended Bet: QPR vs PRESTON +0/0.5 (1.86)

Liverpool vs Arsenal (Sun 16:30)

  • Mark – Liverpool +0.0/0.5 (1.82)
  • Adrian – Liverpool +0.0/0.5 (1.82)
