A sneak peek at Adrian Clarke and Mark O’Haire’s Euro 2020 Ante Post Selections

Our Football Podcast team have been in terrific form right in time for an intriguing month of football across the continent.

Each of their outright selections are listed below.

Outrights Overview

Not a major surprise that Gareth Southgate’s side has been the most backed team in the Outrights since we opened this market. Adrian, however, has some major reservations when it comes to The Three Lions:

Back To Lay Angles

First off, what does Back To Lay mean?

Essentially it means exactly what it says on the tin. We’re backing a selection at a pretty big price so we can lay them at perhaps 60-70%, a lesser price later in the competition.

By no means do Mark and Adrian think either of their selections will lift the Henri Delaunay Trophy come July 11th, but they do feel that they’ll progress long enough so we can lock in a profit by pushing the lay button.

Mark – Sweden (121.0)

Very Scandinavian, Very Efficient, Very Effective.

That pretty much sums up most Swedish teams, but this side has more attacking threats than you might think:

Adrian – Turkey (66.0)

A real trendy selection of late, and Adrian makes the case exactly why:

Middle Of The Pack Fancy

Both Adrian & Mark really like Denmark (36.0) here with the latter really making a strong case for Kasper Hjulmand’s side:

Best Bets

Adrian – Spain (9.8)

Luis Enrique’s side are flying slightly under the radar coming into this competition, and Adrian is most happy to lock them in as his best outright bet:

Mark – Portugal (11.6)

I luckily followed Mark in on this selection back in 2016, and it’s hard to look against them again this year:

If you are looking to follow the lads in on these selections, check out the below offer:

To Qualify Markets

Mark – Lay Switzerland at 1.57

Mark is struggling to see where the Swiss can get a win in Group A with Wales undervalued in his opinion:

Adrian – Lay Czech Republic at 1.8

Meanwhile, Adrian has similar views on the Czechs with their first game at Hampden Park against a fired-up Scottish side in a win or bust fixture:

Top Goalscorer Bets

Always such a fun market, this one with plenty of opinions and betting options from the lads!

(Mark) – Romelu Lukaku (8.50) | Christian Eriksen (101.0) / Jonas Wind (151.0) | Federico Chiesa (201.0)

He’s a hell of a price and not a certainty to start, but along with Mark, I’m a huge fan of Federico Chiesa:

(Adrian) – Kane (7.5) or Lukaku (8.5) | Memphis Depay 21.0 | Ferran Torres 35.0 / Morata 26.0 | Gnabry 26.0 / Havertz 41.0

Not so long ago, Harry Kane was shooting the lights out in Russia, and Adrian expects more of the same from the Tottenham striker much closer to home:

Other Bets

  • Belgium / Denmark Group B Straight Forecast (3.0)
  • Highest Scoring Team – Belgium (6.5)
  • Slovakia lowest-scoring team (11.0)
  • Czech Republic Under 4.5 Goals in Group D (1.85)
