Host Daniel Hussey summarises all the betting tips from this week’s Masters podcast, which featured Daniel Hussey, Will Turl and Jack Kelliher…

The Masters has finally arrived, meaning the start of Major season.

We’ll know the four winners of this year’s marquee events in just over three months.

It was fun to discuss with Will and Jack as we limited selections to three, one per category below.

Best of luck if having a bet on the Matchbook Betting Exchange!

Intro / Opening Thoughts

  • Dan – Scottie’s price 6.0 still tempting | LIV Golf | Tiger | Rookies look strong this year
  • Will – The reunion of many top players across tours and the latest season of Full Swing! How will that play out? It’s a bit like Boxing Day, where you’re just waiting for an argument to kick off between some estranged uncles!
  • Jack – Will Scottie spoil it? The weather looks like it could blow. How will this play out? Will there be a draw bias?

Top Of The Market

  • Dan – Spieth 26.0
  • Will – Matsuyama 22.0
  • Jack – Xander 18.5

Middle Of The Market

  • Dan – Fitzpatrick 42.0
  • Will – Finau 50.0 (7.0 top 8)
  • Jack – Lowry 60.0

Big Price Selection

  • Dan – Conners 100.0
  • Will – Garcia 210.0 (4.9 Top 20)
  • Jack – Henley 85.0

Any Other Golfers on the Shortlist

  • Dan – Harman 90.0 (rain a concern) | Scott 100.0 (long game improving but might not be there)
  • Will – Scheffler 6.0 | Zalatoris 50.0
  • Jack – Young 60.0 | Theegala 65.0 | English 260.0

Betting Strategy

  • Dan – FRL, figure out draw bias and look to take advantage of that | Scottie & Meetingofthewaters for Masters/Grand National double | enjoy it, we’re due a good finish
  • Will—Try not to get carried away and cover the whole field! It’s easy to do during the Masters, and with many unknowns in the world of golf at the moment, make your picks and sit on your hands!
  • Jack – Pray our picks get off to a good start because Augusta is no place to play catch up. Look at the side markets on Matchbook as the draws come out. Look to take on some big names in the 3 balls like Tom Kim, Collin Morikawa, Justin Rose, Patrick Cantlay
