Eight races on ITV this Saturday, with bets for each of them from our podcast team

Not a weekend full of quality, but we get that next week at York in spades. Look out for our previews on Tuesday and Thursday! Some excellent betting heats on Saturday with a few big field handicaps, and it looks like a fair renewal of the Hungerford.

Denford Stakes (13:45 Newbury)

Two votes for Bayside Boy here from Adele and Steve who they suggest Bayside Boy is open to loads of improvement. I’m with Ralph Beckett’s colt who was green first up but still won well and his two year olds are flying

  • Tom – Seattle Rock
  • Adele – Bayside boy
  • Steve – Bayside Boy

Fillies’ Handicap – (14:00 Newmarket)

Steve thinks Pam Sly’s horse can translate her bumper form to this level and I don’t disagree but think Goolwa should be clear favourite so I am siding with her. Adele votes Military Two Step is overpriced.

  • Tom – Goolwa
  • Adele – Military Two Step
  • Steve – Eileendover

Geoffrey Freer – (14:20 Newbury)

Steve and I are with last year’s winner Hukum and I’m surprised he’s odds against to be honest. Adele thinks there’s more to come at this trip from Hugo Palmer’s filly.

  • Tom – Hukum
  • Adele – Golden Pass
  • Steve – Hukum

Grey Horse Handicap (Newmarket 14:35)

Two shouts for Devils Angel here who looked very solid at the track last time. Steve likes last year’s winner and suggests it must have been the aim to come back here.

  • Tom – Devils Angel
  • Adele – Devils Angel
  • Steve – My Style

7f Handicap (Newbury 14:55)

Steve is with the last time out Goodwood winner whilst I’m following Adele in again with Sunset Bay. She’s versatile with regard to conditions and could rate a fair bit higher than this in time.

  • Tom – Sunset Bay
  • Adele – Sunset Bay
  • Steve – Magical Wish

Silver Trophy (Ripon 15:10)

You can’t win from off the pace, say Steve. He likes Cooperation who can lead (his best bet of the day) and I think Bossipop will try and do similar. Adele wants a couple on side with Danzan the pick of them.

  • Tom – Bossipop
  • Adele – Danzan / Fourtamor
  • Steve – Cooperation

Hungerford Stakes (Newbury 15:30)

Whilst I love Al Suhail, he’s not that trustworthy and Sacred looks a far more solid bet. Adele argues she’s definitely overpriced now back in trip. Steve makes a strong case for Danyah against the favourite.

  • Tom – Sacred
  • Adele – Sacred
  • Steve – Danyah

Great St Wilfrid (Ripon 15:45)

Steve is strong on last year’s winner who should try to dominate. My main fancy did best of those up with the pace last time and I make her my best bet of the day.

  • Tom – Music Society / Gale Force Maya
  • Adele – Mokaatil / Mr Wagyu / Music Society
  • Steve – Staxton

Best Bets

  • Tom – Gale Force Maya (Ripon 15:45)
  • Adele – Taj Alriyadh (Ripon 14:40)
  • Steve – Cooperation (Ripon 15:10)

Let’s hope it’s a good day at Ripon! Adele likes the look of a 2-year-old who is unbeaten whilst Steve, and I are taking on the big field handicaps
