Some tough races to call on Saturday but our podcast team still fancy a couple of angles!
Well, by Saturday, we’ll have some draw clues for both the straight tracks at Newmarket and York, and we get stuck into two from each track today. Some big field handicaps don’t make life easy today but do mean we’ve got the chance of landing a few at big prices.
Essentially all about one horse, and he’s best bet material for Sam and I. We’ve not seen Bay Bridge for a while, but he has the potential to rate much higher than this. Adele is looking a little further down the betting.
Cagey from the panel here. No one is exactly against Native Trail, but we’d not be backers either at 1.73. It’s just finding value against him isn’t all that easy, particularly without draw and ground clues closer to the off. Essentially we’re fence-sitting at the prices.

Adele points out that it’s hard to rule many of these out, and that’s why some fancy prices are going up. Seven different horses between us, too, so choose wisely! It may be worth noting where the winners came from in the 16:20 yesterday and 14:02 today…
I saved the easiest til last! Both Adele and I think it’s sensible to have the favourite on side here. He’s team obvious, but he’s that for a reason and is easiest to make a case for. Steve and Sam, like Calling The Wind and Elysian Flame gets a few votes, too, with an interesting Graham Lee angle from Adele.
