Matchbook Betting Exchange have announced two new three-year horse-racing sponsorships at Cheltenham and Ascot.

Cheltenham’s new season gets underway in a week’s time with The Showcase taking place on Friday and Saturday, October 26 and 27. Matchbook will sponsor four races including the £60,000 Matchbook Betting Exchange Handicap Chase on Saturday.

Carey Weeks, Head of Partnerships for the South West region of The Jockey Club commented:

“I am delighted to be working with Matchbook at The Showcase this year, in their role as Official Betting Partner. I hope that it proves to be a worthwhile platform for them and that we can build a strong partnership with them for the future.”

The Matchbook Clarence House Chase Raceday at Ascot will be taking place on Saturday 19th January. This meeting has been lit up in recent times by Willie Mullins star Un De Sceaux landing the Grade 1 Clarence House Chase three years in a row. The supporting card on the day will also feature the Grade 3 Holloways Handicap Hurdle, Juvenile Novices Hurdle and Amateur Riders Chase, which will all be sponsored by Matchbook.

Juliet Slot, Chief Commercial Officer at Ascot Racecourse, said:

“We are very much looking forward to welcoming Matchbook to Ascot next year as title sponsor, for the Matchbook Clarence House Chase Raceday. The day features three Graded races including the Grade 1 Clarence House Chase which is the last top-level opportunity in Britain for the fastest chasers in Europe, before the Cheltenham Festival. The day is a firm favourite amongst our racegoers and we are delighted to embark on this new sponsorship.”

Matchbook is committed to being a leading force in horse racing betting and has shown it is ready to invest, not just in its platform, but also in British horse racing through its sponsorship. The exchange is a growing force in the UK and Ireland and strives to provide a best-in-class platform for users to have the ultimate online betting experience.

Mark Brosnan CEO of Matchbook said:

“We are thrilled to be extending our UK horse racing sponsorship portfolio to include two of the World’s premier racecourses. Both events represent really exciting opportunities for us to connect with our customers and bring them closer to the sport. These three-year partnerships further demonstrate Matchbook’s commitment to the horse racing industry and to our horse racing customers.”
