Matchbook’s NFL Divisional Colossus Syndicate

It’s the NFL divisional playoff games this weekend and if you want to get to the heart of the action you will want to get involved in the Matchbook Colossus NFL syndicate. We hit the jackpot before Xmas with one of our Pick 4 syndicates and we’re feeling confident about our last chance this season for a repeat so get involved.

Colossus syndicates are simple. They are crowdfunded bets where a syndicate leader, in this case Team Matchbook, picks out a slate of bets on the NFL point spread jackpot pool and you can buy a percentage of the total bet amount. If we win you win the same percentage of the jackpot or whatever the bet is cashed out for.

Each week we’ll explain the bets and why we choose them and if you like our thinking then simply buy in and come along for the ride. Redzone will never be the same again.

This week’s picks with Aidan “Sully” O’Sullivan:

Pick 4
Cost: £2
Jackpot: A Share of £5k+

Colts @ Chiefs – Colts by 1-12 or Chiefs by 1-6

This is potentially the game of the week. We have a Chiefs defense that gives up the second most passing yards in the league up against a red hot Andrew Luck and I wouldn’t want to be backing the under here The total points line at 57.5 suggests this is going to be a shootout, but the Colts defences is top ten in the league for a reason and if they could hold this runaway offence to 24-28 then I think they can win. If the Chiefs do win it won’t be by a lot, so it makes sense to keep the Chiefs onside here too.

Cowboys @ Rams – Cowboys by 1-12 or Rams by 1-6

This feels like a game where the underdogs are being underestimated and the Cowboys +7/5 might be the bet of the weekend. There is no real home advantage here and the Rams defence ranks 23rd against the run so this could be a game where Ezekiel Elliott really turns it on. The Rams have struggled against good defenses and I think the Cowboys will get enough stops to take the momentum out of this powerful Rams offense in what is likely to be a close game. Although again it might pay to keep the Rams onside too.

The deadly duo of Zak Prescott and Zeke Elliot will look to cause the Rams Defense serious problems on Saturday night.

Chargers @ Patriots – Chargers by 1-12

The Patriots haven’t lost a home playoff game since 2013, but this is where that exceptional run ends and the Chargers will win on Sunday night. The weather could be a factor here with a lot of snow forecast in Boston on the weekend, and while it should be OK by game time this is likely to contribute to a low scoring game and that may suit the Chargers. The Chargers are simply the better team right now and they’ve proven over the season they can perform on the road. I don’t then ink they blow the Patriots out of the water, but a margin of 1-12 looks a good bet.

Eagles @ Saints – Saints by 7-18

I thought the Nick Foles dream run would end last weekend and I was wrong, but it will definitely end this weekend as they face up to the best team in the league in a venue where outside of the Week 17 loss when most of the starters were rested, they haven’t lost since the opening game of the season. The Saints will simply blow the Eagles away, and will put up at least 35 points here with the Eagles simply not able to keep up. The Saints are still the best team in the league and they are favourites for the Super Bowl for a reason and will prove it here.
