Week 2 of the NFL season is upon us as Sully gives the Colossus pick 7 another shot

Colossus syndicates are simple. They are crowdfunded bets where a syndicate captain, in this case, Team Matchbook, picks out a slate of bets on the NFL point spread jackpot pool and you can buy a percentage of the total bet amount. If we win, you win! When Team Matchbook wins a jackpot or accepts a Cash Out offer, the prize will be split amongst each contributor in proportion to the % of the ticket they own.

Each week we’ll explain the bets and why we choose them and if you like our thinking then simply buy in and come along for the ride. Redzone will never be the same again.

This week’s picks with Aidan “Sully” O’Sullivan:

Pick 7
Cost: £19.20 for 10%
Jackpot: £74k+

Patriots @ Dolphins – Pats by 1-18

This line is crazy but let’s not get too carried away and expect a Dolphins win. Miami dared Lamar Jackson to beat them with his arm last weekend, which is exactly what he did. Don’t expect them to dare Tom Brady to do the same this week. Pats get up early and stay there but don’t expect them to run up the score.

Vikings @ Packers – Vikings by 1-12

Both teams coming off wins but Minnesota ticked a whole lot of boxes for me. A solid recent record at Lambeau will seem them head into this one with no fear. Packers Defense looked very solid last week but I expect the Vikings to have enough success here in a game that I also like the under.

Seahawks @ Steelers – Steelers by 7-18

Pittsburgh was brutal in Foxboro on Sunday night in what looked like a preseason outing for Mike Tomlin’s men. Expect Big Ben & co to bounce back in a big way against a pretty porous Seahawks Defense. As great as Russel Wilson is, I can’t see him keeping up here.

Bears @ Broncos – Bears or Broncos to win by 1-6

First team to 20 wins right? That’s how I’m seeing this one as I struggle to see either Offense having much success and hence why I’m sitting on both sides of the fence here with a narrow win for either team. Do not expect to see much of this one on Redzone!

Eagles @ Falcons – Eagles by 1-12

I’ve been around long enough not to overreact to an opening weekend of the NFL season but it’s hard not to take notice of the Falcons ineptitude in Minnesota on Sunday evening. Having replaced pretty much all of his coaching staff in the offseason, Dan Quinn is very much on the hot seat and by the looks of things his team are not exactly helping him out. Eagles blew the cobwebs off in the second half against Washington and I expect them to roll here!

Browns @ Jets – Browns or Jets to win by 1-6

Jets QB Sam Darnold is out due to Mono. Yes Mono! Ex Bronco Trevor Siemian takes his place so I expect a heavy heavy dose of Le’Veon Bell here, which will not be a bad thing at all in my opinion. Bit of a must-win for both teams and in spite of the line moving with the Browns, I expect a close one in the Meadowlands.
