BOTH TO OBLIGE IN BOLOGNA
Bologna boss Vincenzo Italiano said his side could leave Anfield ‘with our heads held high’ after their 2-0 Champions League reverse to Liverpool in midweek. Despite the defeat, the Rossoblu put the Merseysiders under plenty of pressure with Alisson Becker making some tough saves and Dan Ndoye thumping the woodwork for the visitors.
Speaking post-match, he said: “We created chances, we caused problems for Liverpool, who I am convinced did not expect Bologna to be so courageous, to fight back as much as we did, and the lads expressed themselves well. It’s frustrating we didn’t manage to score, but we knew this was a learning curve and we laid the foundations tonight for our future journey.”
Bologna resume domestic duties on Sunday against newly-promoted Parma at their Renato Dall’Ara Stadium base and another entertaining encounter could be in the offing. The Rossoblu have seen Both Teams To Score pay-out in five of their six Serie A showdowns under Italiano and a repeat looks plausible considering their opposition’s own approach.
Parma have been tremendous fun since their return to the top-flight, characterised by their ding-dong 3-2 loss at home to Cagliari on Monday night. The Gialloblu have delivered BTTS pay-outs in all six of their dates, striking at least twice on four occasions, whilst also shipping multiple goals in each of their past four fixtures (matches averaging a tasty 3.67 goals).
It means 11 of the 12 combined Serie A matches involving Bologna and Parma have seen both sides score, and considering the attacking intent from the two teams on show, I’m eager to support a repeat with Both Teams To Score trading at 1.82.

AIK TO EXTEND EYE-CATCHING STREAK
AIK are the form team in Sweden. The side from Solna may have left it too late to challenge for Allsvenskan title honours but the Gnaget look well-placed for Europa Conference League qualification thanks to a remarkable run of eight wins from nine unbeaten league contests since the start of August – AIK have also conceded just one goal in their last eight outings.
Mikkjal Thomassen’s team have turned over Djurgardens (2nd) and Hammarby (4th) in that eye-catching run, with table-topping Malmo (0-0) the only side to avoid a similar fate. So I’m more than happy to support AIK on Sunday as interesting odds-against shots at 2.05 when mid-table Hacken arrive at the Strawberry Arena on the outskirts of Stockholm.
AIK are ranked almost exclusively inside the top two and three for major home metrics, whilst Hacken have produced their best work against the lesser lights. The visitors have gone W2-D2-L7 against top-seven teams, picking up a solitary point from a possible 15 when travelling away to the top-half. The Wasps have leaked 14 goals in that five-game sample.
- AIK vs Hacken – AIK to win – 1 unit @ 2.05
