Fresh from a profitable Ebor Festival our podcast team return with their best bets for Saturday’s ITV Races

York was fabulous last week, and we enjoyed £23 profit (sp) to £1 level stakes with our best bets. This weekend is of lesser quality and, to be honest, pretty trappy stuff with not a great deal of confidence floating around between the guys. Certainly, no max stakes plays, but hopefully, the best bets will pay to follow once again.

Prestige Stakes (13:50 Goodwood)

A difference of opinions here. I want to trade the Johnston horse in the run while Steve and Deasy like a filly who was a touch unlucky last time. They also want another one on side while Sam is tepid on the current favourite, Daneh.

Silver Cup (14:05 Beverley)

Both Sam and Deasy like Farhan though Deasy wants to see some market confidence before pressing the button. He also makes a case for Titian. Steve thinks No Recollection is the overpriced one.

Hopeful Stakes (14:45 Newmarket)

Deasy and I are being brave siding with horses that are running out of excuses. Sam and Steve are playing it far safer with Tabdeed and Sam also finds one who should be on the front end at a monster price (34.0)

No bet from me but Sam and are small stakes with the favourite, though Sam would only be tempted in if he drifted half a point. Deasy is against him even at the 2.0 currently and wants one running for him at a big price.

• Deasy – Lay Nagano. White Pepper (very small win only at 21.0)

Beverley Bullet (15:15)

Couple of shouts for Significantly and Dakota Gold in an open renewal of the Beverley Bullet. Deasy has found one at a bigger price who likes it here and should have things run to suit.

Celebration Mile (15:35 Goodwood)

There’ll be no more entertaining case made than Steve’s for Duke Of Hazard and I agree with him. The race hinges on where Benbatl is but none of us are convinced enough to side with him.
